Difficult RFE Overcome for EB-1A Artist

Published Tuesday, October 13, 2009

We recently received some very good news regarding an arts administrator self-petitioning for admission as an EB-1A Alien of Extraordinary Ability.  Our client had completed some major projects benefiting prestigious museums and cultural organizations, and had letters of support from prominent diplomats and legislators attesting to it.  Nevertheless, the Immigration Service sent an RFE requesting extensive additional documentation.  Over the course of the next weeks, we worked with our client to structure a response showing the value of her twenty years in the field - challenging, since she often worked behind the scenes.   However, when we submitted the evidence regarding the scope and level of her activities, the USCIS agreed that they - and she - showed extraordinary ability.  In fact, we received an approval notice only four days after submitting the response!  We are very pleased to have secured an approval on behalf of this hardworking and accomplished individual.
