Our Law Firm has a Subspecialty in Religious Worker Immigration Cases

We Help R-1 Nonimmigrant and EB-4 Immigrant Religious Workers Gain Immigration Approval

A recent, dramatic change in the way the government processes Religious Worker cases has had a significant impact on our firm. Immigration Law Associates, P.C. has a subspecialty in religious worker cases. So when we learned an audit is now a routine part of every immigration case, both R-1 and EB-4, we adjusted our procedure.

Effective immediately we assist both church representatives and religious worker clients in preparing audit packets in every immigration case we handle. The purpose is to have thorough case documentation, and to prepare our clients for questions from fraud audit officers.

Religious Worker cases have always presented certain challenges. Often USCIS questions whether a particular job title represents a “traditional religious function,” required under the statute. There are other points of issue as well. We are adept at structuring religious worker cases to show that organizations, positions, and workers qualify under the law. In addition, we are now prepared, and we assure our clients are prepared, to meet the challenge of a fraud audit.

Some of our many success stories include:

  • The senior pastor at one of our church clients called us urgently. A USCIS fraud detection officer had appeared, at 6am and without warning, to conduct an audit. Our attorneys hurried over with our copy of the case documents in hand. We were able to provide information the officer was seeking, and show the position was genuine and qualified for the R visa.
